Historic Fairmont Neighborhood was platted in 1906 and 1913. The neighborhood is a continuation of the city grid pattern layout, with houses set back from the front lot and from each other. The neighborhood expansion allowed for the South Wayne Avenue streetcar line to extend south of Rudisill Boulevard, creating a pocket of the early 20th-century commercial buildings that provides space for a locally owned cafe, Italian market, and unique retail shops.
Our mission is to promote an active, flourishing and model neighborhood of community life, safety and increasing property values for our home owners, residents and businesses through communication, engagement, and collaborations.
